Serve the Kingdom currently services trips to, but not limited to, La Paz, Honduras through Christian Academy of Indiana high school and Graceland Church, both of which are located in New Albany, Indiana. Any school or church leader interested in organizing a group trip should fill out the form to the right. Please note that all trips are scouted and planned before they are deemed set and safe for travelers. Luis Carlos and Lyndsee will be your Serve the Kingdom on-the-ground leaders for your trip, introducing you to the locals, pastors, families, food and culture of Honduras!

June 9-15, 2025
A high school team of 25 and 6 leaders from Christian Academy of Indiana traveled to La Paz and Comayagua in Honduras for another round of serving the community and taking the gospel to them in many ways! The girls taught with Project Mariposa during the week by reading Proverbs 31 and teaching the girls about making bracelets for profit and how to handle the finances that the Lord gives them. The guys worked construction all week. A couple days at Project Suenos y Sonrisas, but the bulk of their work was for Angel Molineros's house. He is Serve the Kingdom's main bricklayer and project manager while we are not in country working, and he has never had a place to call home for his family. So, we are giving him a house. Fully funded by Serve the Kingdom and its generous donors and teams, Angel's family will soon have a home in 2025. Our team had to really live Honduran time and schedules this week, as many plans changed, and the rainy season hindered our excursions. But the Lord put together the best group of 31 people possible to handle the week.

March 21-29, 2025
24 High school students went to La Paz and Comayagua to evangelize the gospel in local schools, and at two Compassion International sites within the Santidad Church communities. This team was a strong group, and even helped a couple of days with construction work at Suenos y Sonrisas project, by helping with making rebars for the second floor classrooms. The girls also helped pilot our Project Mariposa program for young girls, and helping Lety and the team in the kitchen to prepare meals for the kids. This was a big help, and two days work that they were able to advance at the project. At the end of a very full week of serving, we were able to take this team to a local hot springs location up the volcano behind our house, took them to a chocolate plantation, and they shopped in the city plaza of Comayagua for souvenirs and coffee. Always a highlight for our teams!

Graceland Baptist Church

Adults from Graceland Church were on ground and serving the church communities of La Paz through their local church, Iglesia Evangelica de Santidad. Some of the ministry involved spreading the gospel in to impoverished villages and Compassion International families, purifying thousands of liters of clean water, and assessing the construction progress and needs of the organization's structures. The team was fed well by local chefs Alejandro and some amazing church ladies. The team spent half of a day near the end of the trip to sightsee, shop at the local market, and purchase coffee and souvenirs to bring back to the States.
